How to use the kid’s site?

When students log on to www.airdefenders.org, they will find numerous resources, games, and activities all related to open burning, air quality and respiratory health.  The kid’s web site is great for the classroom.  Teachers and health officials can log onto the site and play the games together as a class, or have the students individually surf the site.

Another way to use the kid’s site is to print off this quiz and answer key and have the students complete it while surfing the site.  All answers are in order and can be found on the kid’s website.  This will help the students focus on the content, and allow the educator to evaluate what is learned.

Also, before loading the interactive learning CD-ROM (included in kit), log onto the internet.  This way, at the end of the game, students can enter their names and scores on the high scores list from the Air Defenders CD-ROM game.  These scores will remain on the site until another student scores higher.  Students can then use the library computer or the computer at home to view their name and score on the web site.
